True to Tradition
Nestled along the Rio Embudo, Dixon is a haven for artists—an art village where creativity is woven into daily life. Home to New Mexico’s oldest continuously running studio tour, the Dixon Studio Tour, on the first full weekend each November invites visitors to wander winding roads and discover the work of makers rooted in tradition.
At Métier, the spirit of craft thrives—hands shaping clay, wood, fiber, and reed into objects that hold story and skill. Here, art and heritage meet, offering a glimpse into the enduring beauty of time-honored practices.
Weaving
Weaving is an art form that you can appreciate by looking, touching, and using. Métier features the hand-woven apparel of gallery owner Ai Smith, created on looms in the studio
Pottery
Métier carries the work of many local potters and ceramic artists such as Al Tyrrell and the late Carol Clamer, among others. Functional & decorative pieces available.
